We are KENNEL JOULUMAAN (OF CHRISTMAS LAND)
We are a big family from Rovaniemi, Arctic
Circle and Santa's Christmas Land.
In our family there are 7 humans and two white swiss shepherds: Father Jukka,
Mother Maarit,
boys Jani, Tomi, Miika, Ville-Veikka and a girl Saga.
Our whites are mother Arja and daughter Sade.
We live close to the downtown of Rovaniemi,and we have good forests
and routes beside our house to enjoy outdoors with dogs.
We do different things with our dogs. Obedience
is first and foremost;
also tracking is a lot of fun. You can also see us going
around with a sled during winter months!
We are quite beginners with breeding,
we have been studying a lot and we are all the time learning more.
FCI and Finnish Kennel Club granted us a kennel name JOULUMAAN in April 2004.
We are members in Finnish Kennel Club,
White Shepherd Club of Finland and White Shepherd Club of Sweden.
Our goal in breeding is a typical White Swiss
Shepherd
with distinctive good temperament and good health.
We hope to use new bloodlines in our breeding program.
As a breeder, we have few basic rules: Puppies
will grow up in a family environment
till they are 8 weeks old. They will be de-wormed, vet checked,
micro chipped, registrated in Finnish Kennel Club and they will have a litter
insurance
till they are two years old. New owner of the puppy will get
a membership in White Shepherd Club of Finland for a year.
We will give an information packet with helpful hints with a puppy.
We hope to stay in touch with a new owner, phone call and e-mail is always
welcomed!
Arja is our foundation bitch. She is healthy
girl with excellent temperament.
She is also pretty, even though she has some cream in her coat.
In a stud we appreciate pure white colour, good pigment,
good temperament and health. We hope to get confident puppies in our breeding
program.
